A VPN is a Virtual Private Network in which it will allow the user to create a connection to a network over the use of the internet. This also means that if any website was not allowed to be accessed on a standard network, a VPN would allow that particular website to be accessed. A VPN is also able to shield any activity that you be doing on a public network and will also keep prying eyes from seeing that browsing history. In simple terms a VPN will effectively forward all of the network traffic to the network that you are on.
