Passwords tend to be unique to an individual due to the fact that when they setting up their password than it is going to be something that is related to them. Some passwords would need specific criteria for it to be accepted onto any website. This tends to be that the password needs both numerical and alphamerical values in them as well as at least one of the alphamerical value being uppercase. Passwords would also need to be updated and changed every two weeks.

 

An example of this would be that customer detail are stored, they would be considered as a high importance so would add as much security on it and the most obvious would tend to be passwords.

 

The reason why this would make data secure is that if the data has a password on it then it would make it harder for that data to be accessed for anyone who has unathorised access for that data.
